MATCHING : The matching part of the test was, in my opinion the easiest. The matching was designed to assess student’s knowledge of vocabulary. 
MULTIPLE CHOICE: They provide a broad sampling of knowledge and contain more diagnostic power than other types of questions because the “distractors” can pinpoint errors in knowledge. The multiple choice questions that were used on the test were designed to assess students understanding of the vocabulary terms for this unit. Originally, we thought the multiple choice questions would be the easiest to create, but they were actually quite challenging. The hardest part of the multiple choice questions were the “distractors”. We had to be sure the distractors were not obvious so students could not easily eliminate them. Additionally, we had to be sure to use clear question stems, with positive language.

TRUE/FALSE: These questions were presented in short clear and easy to understand sentences. They were easier to create than multiple choice, but we still had to be careful of being too “wordy”. With these questions, we used real life examples in order to see if the students could apply their knowledge of the words and select the correct answer. 

ESSAY: We wanted students to be able to discriminate from the two types of banks and discuss the importance of banks that we learned about in class. Additionally, we wanted the students to extend their knowledge of banks and provide real life examples to show that they could not only recall information presented to them in class, but also connect it to their life.
